Now that Jeff Bozos, owner of the WaPo, Amazon, among other entities, with enough money to piss away a billion or so on a 15 minute rocket ship ride to nowhere, has subordinated himself to the potential threats from Donald Trump it’s finally become time for me – and millions of others, by my calculation – to dismiss him from our minds and pocketbooks by cancelling my subscription to the Washington PostAND, since that isn’t a drop in the bucket to him, STOP USING AMAZON.
Remember that one of the last remaining powers that we have, “we” being us little people, is our power as CONSUMERS! Jeff Bozos need to be reminded of this!
I am a retired business owner, having been in the medical staffing business for over 25 years. I was born in Brooklyn N.Y. into an Italian Roman Catholic family where I attended St Rita's school just a few blocks from our house. I became interested in pursuing answers to my religious and theological concerns that I did not find in Catholicism. I began studying the Bible myself to look for answers I thought would be in scripture and came away empty. What I learned ABOUT the Bible was worse than what I learned IN the Bible and, as a result, I became an atheist! Now, with a felon in the Oval Office and the Christian Right "in power", with Red States violating the separation between Church and State, I feel compelled to add to the fight against the imposition of religious "values" into our society at large and the potential influence of religious fanaticism into our government.

Donald Trump has a record of 4 stellar years in office and nearly 10 years being targeted for annihilation by the Democrat Party-Deep State.
As the election nears, common folk are flocking to him while the super wealthy gentry flock to support the lying Communist, Harris.
Hmmmmm. “Four stellar years in office…” I seem to remember the US using refrigerator trucks as morgues and wiping our butts with coffee filters as the “president” recommended we drink bleach, and use horse tranquilizers to abate the disease that he denied was coming. Not very “stellar” really by any measure. Perhaps we have different memories of said four years. His tariffs on our farmers almost put our agriculture industry out of business while we bailed out farmers with billions of tax payer dollars.
You may need to go back to some of the old newspapers and YouTube videos and familiarize yourself with some reality.

Take a walk on the wild side and partake of the truth.
Harris is getting her ass kicked.
She just pulled her campaign out of North Carolina because she and her dead man walking partner spent their hurricane relief money on illegal aliens and Ukraine.
And her jack wit partner just called 3/4 of the country, “garbage.”
OK, another voice from EARTH2 registers an opinion. Not sure what country you’ve been in for the last 8 years. 1,000,000 people died from Trump’s complete mishandling and subterfuge during the crisis. If you call that “peace & prosperity” then we’re worlds apart.
The problem remains that the voices from Earth2 have been in power since the Reagan administration, from neocons to neoliberals to outright religious lunatics, and no consumer boycott is going to undo that global damage nor the collapse on its way because of the underlying societal support of mass stupidity that the corporate order represents.
So what’s there to say or debate? Not much. Have a nice day.
I see you have the same optimistic outlook on America & Americans as I have! Although I do disagree about the power of the consumer our thoughts on the dynamics of society & the corporations that are currently running our government are the same. Thanks for your comments!
I, too, said a sad ‘Goodbye’ to the Washington Post. Sorry, but journalistic integrity matters to me more than putting more money into Jeff Bezos’ pocket. Sometimes we have to take a stand and follow our conscience … those of us who have one.
Actually, the “garbage” story is on CNN right now, as a matter of fact! I wonder, SOM, where you get your “truth” from, exactly? How much of that is from the Liar-in-Chief himself, Orange Jesus? And I don’t know who told you she’s getting her “ass kicked”, I can only imagine it comes from one of your “truth” sources but it ain’t happening, at all. Please ready yourself for the inevitable; a black, female, SMART, president named KAMALA! Harris wins the Electoral Collect vote by 75-80 votes, and the popular by more than 8,000,000 this time. [My private forecast!]
